When to Visit – You can visit the Samburu region and Unity Village year-round, though during the rainy seasons of October to mid-December and mid-March to early June, travel can be more difficult.  The climate is arid and hot with the mean annual temperature between 18° and 30° celsius.

  1. Dear all,

My name is Renata and I am a scholar and a blogger focused on women rights. I’d like to speak with you for an interview about your experience with both Unity and Umoja villages.
You are doing really a great work!

    Best Regards

    1. Hello Lianne, Thanks so much for your interest in supporting the women! We will be updating the Etsy shop tomorrow (Monday in the US) — we have already sold out of what’s listed and aren’t used to such large volumes of traffic. You can also make a donation directly to the Village via SamburuYouth.org — make a note that you’d like the contribution to go to the women and we will set it aside for them, or for young girls and boys from the Village who receive scholarships (you can see more on the website above). The Samburu Youth Education Fund works directly with the women of Unity to buy their beads to support scholarships and the women in the village. Thanks again!
